At Olives Rosselló, we are fully aware of the responsibility that comes with being part of the primary sector of the Balearic Islands. Our activity is closely linked to the land, the landscape, and the people who make it possible. That is why we work every day to carry out our activity responsibly, strengthening our commitment to sustainability, the environment, and the preservation of our agricultural heritage.
Our activity contributes to preserving the traditional cultivation of Mallorcan olives and the unique landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana. For many years, we have been the main buyers and packers of split Mallorcan olives sourced from emblematic estates such as Comassema, Bàlitx, Pastoritx, Biniforani, s’Heretat, and Miramar. In this way, we help maintain an agricultural activity that is part of Mallorca’s identity and history.
Our commitment to the environment is reflected in specific conservation and sustainable production projects. One example is the cultivation of sea fennel (Crithmum maritimum) at the Corbera estate in Llubí. This initiative prevents the harvesting of the plant in its natural habitat, promotes the conservation of the species, and allows us to obtain a higher-quality product through a more controlled and environmentally respectful cultivation process.
We continuously work to improve the efficiency of our facilities and reduce the environmental impact of our activity. Thanks to the incorporation of professionals specialized in environmental management and new technologies, we are implementing measures to reduce water, energy, and fuel consumption.
Likewise, we are moving towards an increasingly resource-efficient company by reducing the use of paper, containers, and packaging, progressively incorporating recycled materials, and promoting the use of renewable energy.
As part of this commitment, we calculate our carbon footprint annually and officially register it with the corresponding Ministry registry, with the aim of continuously measuring, improving, and reducing our environmental impact.
